About us

Who we are, why we built PhishIndex, and how we approach your privacy.

PhishIndex is an independent security project that helps people recognize phishing, block malicious URLs, and build safer online habits. Our tools are designed to be simple, privacy-respecting, and useful for everyone.

Our original goal was to create a simple password strength checking tool as a fun project. However, over time, we've expanded to include a range of projects that are designed to help people stay safe online.

We try our best to be privacy respecting. We do NOT want to sell your data to advertisers.
